Anika Munshi
Licensed professional counselor

Anika Munshi is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is passionate about working with Muslims both as a counselor and a graphic designer. As a Muslim counselor, Anika believes that God is at the center of our existence, and healing requires aligning our heart and mind towards God.
Anika is passionate about working with Muslims and the various challenges that they face living in the West including cultural adjustment, systemic oppression, and generational and cultural traumas. She also enjoys working with diverse cultural populations and helping individuals form an authentic identity while exploring and connecting with their cultural heritage.
Many of Anika’s clients have been raised in narcissistic and dysfunctional family systems and have experienced complex traumas in their relationships with their parents, siblings, in-laws, and children. Complex problems require complex solutions, and a competent professional who understands the different aspects of a person and their environment.
In today’s generation, it can be challenging to find a balance between traditional and modern cultural values, especially within the current sociopolitical climate. Oftentimes we are searching to feel understood, be emotionally supported, and feel seen and heard without having to worry about explaining everything.
Additionally, Anika has worked as a graphic designer for over 10 years serving Muslim businesses and organizations and incorporates traditional Islamic aesthetics to create modern forms of visual dawah.
