Our approach

Diagnosis first. Treatment second.

A CIP clinician taking a careful history during an evaluation

Every course of care at CIP starts the same way: a thorough psychiatric evaluation with a licensed clinician. We don't treat a label from an online quiz or a past chart. We take a full history, ask careful questions, and rule out the conditions and medical factors that can look alike — because the right treatment depends on the right diagnosis.

Once the diagnosis is clear, we build a plan around the person, not the condition. Plans often combine more than one approach: medication management, therapy and counseling, and integrative supports such as functional psychiatry that look at sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle. Your provider reviews the plan with you at every follow-up and adjusts it as you go.

What we treat

Psychiatric conditions we evaluate and treat in Dallas–Fort Worth

ADHD (child & adult)

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder affects focus, organization, and impulse control — and it looks different in children, adolescents, and adults. We provide careful evaluations and ongoing treatment for all three age groups.

Anxiety disorders

Generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, and phobias turn ordinary worry into something persistent and hard to control. We treat them with CBT-based therapy, medication when appropriate, and whole-person support.

Depression

Depression is more than a low mood: it's a persistent change in energy, sleep, concentration, and interest in life. We treat it with therapy, careful medication management, and advanced options when first-line treatment isn't enough.

Bipolar disorder

Bipolar disorder causes episodes of depression alternating with periods of abnormally elevated mood or energy. Because it's frequently mistaken for depression alone, accurate diagnosis is the heart of our approach.

PTSD & trauma

Post-traumatic stress disorder can follow a frightening or overwhelming experience, with symptoms that persist long after the event. We offer trauma-informed evaluation, therapy, and medication management.

OCD

Obsessive-compulsive disorder involves intrusive, unwanted thoughts and the repetitive behaviors people use to relieve them. We evaluate OCD carefully and treat it with evidence-based therapy and medication management.

Schizophrenia & psychosis

Schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders affect how a person thinks, perceives, and connects with reality. Our psychiatric team provides evaluation, medication management, and steady long-term care.

Grief & loss

Grief is a natural response to loss — but sometimes it becomes prolonged or overwhelming and deserves professional support. Our licensed therapists help people work through loss at their own pace.

Treatment-resistant depression

When depression hasn't improved after multiple courses of antidepressant medication, that's not the end of the road. We offer FDA-cleared advanced options, including TMS, for depression that hasn't responded to standard treatment.

Not sure what you're dealing with?

That's normal — and it's not your job to figure out. Many of these conditions overlap: trouble focusing can come from ADHD, anxiety, depression, or poor sleep, and only a proper evaluation can tell them apart. You don't need a diagnosis to book — tell us in a sentence or two what's been going on, and we'll match you with the right clinician.

Questions & answers

Common questions

Booking without a diagnosis, combined conditions, ages we see, and telehealth.

No. Diagnosis is what the first appointment is for. Book with whatever you can describe — trouble sleeping, worry, low mood — and your clinician will take it from there.

Yes. Conditions like anxiety and depression often occur together, and your care team treats them in one coordinated plan rather than in separate silos.

We provide ADHD evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. For other conditions, age policies vary by service — call (469) 557-2646 to confirm care for your child's age.

Most of our care is available by secure video to anyone in Texas. A few services are delivered only in our offices, and some treatment plans include in-person steps — we'll confirm what applies to you when you book.
